Thackley AFC are delighted to announce that Ben Higginson has joined the Men's First Team Staff and will be the goalkeeping coach for the upcoming season.

Higginson is a former Dennyboy and well known to those at the Club. He will work with goalkeepers Luke Wilson and Alfie Darke throughout the season and has been at pre-season sessions already, putting the keepers through their paces.

Joint Manager Danny Forrest had the following to say:

"Adding a goalkeeping coach was a priority for me and Tom this summer as we look to increase the professionalism and give our goalkeepers the opportunity to develop and reach their potential.

When Tom suggested 'Ginner' it was a no brainer. He's a fantastic lad to have around and brings so much more than just being a coach. I know Luke Wilson has already acknowledged how much he has benefitted from Ginner's input, and he's settled in with the whole squad very quickly.

Obviously Ben is well known to the club and and we're extremely happy to have another quality individual on board who just 'gets it.'"
