Thackley’s ‘Ancient Old Gits’ were ‘playing out’ today, at Dennyfield, for their monthly get together. The venue was changed from it’s regular spot at Tony Cryer’s home, due to Tony having trouble with his water - supply of, that is!
Those attending were : (L to R), John Atkinson, Ray Killick, Dick Paley, Tony Cryer, Barry Holmes, Peter Glover and Stuart Thorp. The photographer (me), also attended, but obviously wasn’t able to be in the photograph, as my arms aren’t long enough, nor are my fingers flexible enough to take a group selfie!
At a rough estimate the aggregate of the ages of the group is somewhere in excess of 550 years!!
Incidentally there is no truth whatsoever in the hurtful assertion made that the reason we get together is to reminisce, usually about the things we reminisced about at the previous meeting, because we’ve forgotten what we reminisced about at that meeting!
