Management team to continue next season

Thackley AFC Women are delighted to confirm that Player Manager Yasmin Senior has committed her future to the club and will lead the team once again for the 2026/27 season.

The current campaign has been another outstanding chapter in the club’s journey, with the team sitting top of the WRCWFL Premier Division with the league title firmly in sight and the prospect of a second successive promotion within reach.

In addition, the squad has reached the League Cup Final as they look to defend their title, alongside an impressive run to the County Cup Semi-Final.

Chairman Ben Oliver said:

“We are absolutely delighted that Yasmin has committed to the club for next season. Her leadership, dedication and standards have been instrumental in everything we’ve achieved both on and off the pitch. The progress this season speaks for itself, and we believe she is the perfect person to continue driving the club forward. There is a real belief and momentum around Thackley AFC Women right now, and that is a credit to Yasmin and the environment she has created.”

Yasmin Senior added:

“I’m delighted to confirm that I will be continuing in my role as manager of Thackley AFC Women for the 2026/27 season.

It’s been a fantastic year for the club, and I couldn’t be prouder of the squad we have created and the success we’ve achieved together. The group has shown incredible commitment, quality, and togetherness, and that has been reflected in our performances on the pitch.

There are some really promising signs for the future, particularly in the way we’ve competed and won against higher ranked oppositions from Tiers 5 & 6. That speaks volumes about the potential within this squad and the direction we are heading in as a club, and makes us excited for next season and beyond.

Our focus now is on finishing the season as strongly as possible. We have some exciting fixtures ahead, including the County Cup semi-final and the League Cup final, but first and foremost, we turn our attention to this weekend’s game, which presents us with a fantastic opportunity to claim the league title.

I want to thank the players, staff and club for their efforts this season, and I am looking forward to what next season has in store!”
