In Saturday's game against Staveley Miners Welfare, our keeper, Matt Convey, dislocated his knee whilst coming out to collect the ball from a corner. everyone present was aware of the pain Matt was in. He was stretchered off and eventually transported to hospital. Before transfer to hospital, he was treated at the ground by the Staveley physio John Newell and we at Thackley are very grateful and thank him for his help in treating Matt.
Matt is now back home hobbling about on crutches, he has to return to hospital for a MRI scan to find out the full extent of his injury.
Matt is due to become a father for the third time later this week, we wish him a speedy recovery and both him and Beccy our good wishes for their imminent new arrival.
