Thackley AFC are delighted to confirm the appointment of Keanan Mannings as the club’s new captain, with Kam Basi named as vice-captain for the upcoming campaign.

Mannings brings experience of leadership, having previously captained Frickley AFC. Known for his composure on the ball and his commanding presence in the heart of the team, Keanan will now lead Thackley as we hope for a successful season.

Vice-captain Kam Basi offers invaluable experience, boasting over a decade of playing at NCEL level. His knowledge of the league and performances make him an influential figure both on and off the pitch, providing strong support to Mannings in guiding the squad.

Manager Jamie Price expressed confidence in the new appointments:

“Keanan and Kam are both natural leaders with tremendous experience and character. Their influence will be crucial in driving standards and uniting the group as we aim to compete at the highest level possible this season.”

The leadership within the squad extends beyond the armband. The club is proud to have a strong senior core with Lewis Morgan, Alfie Gibbon, Nathan Hunt, Haas Gorji and Paul Walker forming part of an experienced and committed leadership group.
