Thackley AFC are proud to be supporting the Bingley Bantams supporters group with their annual winter ball taking place this weekend. Thackley AFC are one of a number of sponsors on the evening and are proud to contribute to both the event and the fund raising which will be taking place.
The Bingley Bantams will be raising money once again to support the Bradford Memories Cafe, a support group for those living with and impacted by dementia.
Chairman Ben Oliver had the following to say:
"I am delighted that Thackley AFC are able to support the Bingley Bantams in their fund raising this year for the Bradford Memories Cafe. I met Keith Taylor, Treasurer of the Bingley Bantams, and his brother at an event over the summer and their passion for this event and the support it gives to so many was clear to see.
Sadly, dementia is an ever increasing illness which many are familiar with. This includes myself, and I have seen the illness first hand with a grand parent and as hard as it is to see that person deteriorate and live with the illness, it is also hard for those providing support in the background including family and friends. The Bradford Memories Cafe is vital to allow those to have a support group around them and I am delighted that we have been able to offer some support."
