Thackley gave nineteen players the opportunity to stretch their legs in last night's friendly game against Campion. They made eight changes at the break to give all the players at least 45 minutes of match time.
Thackley took a first half lead through Ryan Farrell in the 38th minute and should have gone into the break at least another goal in front after a couple of good chances.
With eight changes at the break, it took some time for the team to settle and Campion took advantage, equalising through Scott Eastwood on 57 minutes. Thackley got back in front with fifteen minutes remaining with a Craig Bentham 'humdinger' but succumbed to a late strike from Eli Hey.
In the end it was a good work out for both clubs.
