After last week’s inconvenient postponement at Parkgate, Jamie Price’s team will be looking to follow up their victory in their previous game against Liversedge with another win, but they know that despite Golcar’s current placing in the table, this game will be anything but a breeze, with their visitors looking to climb up the table with a big victory.

The Opposition:
Golcar come into this fixture having endured a season full of changes, much like the Dennyboys.

The ‘Weavers’ have endured a significant amount of change in their squad when compared to last season, though like Thackley, they have recovered well and look to have a competitive side as they attempt to avoid relegation.

Their recent results have been a mixed array of draws and losses, with the points coming against Tadcaster Albion, Campion AFC and Wombwell Town.

The defeats on the other hand have come against Handsworth FC, Beverley Town and Knaresborough Town.

Their most recent win in the league came back in November against Pickering Town, with this ending in a 2-0 victory.

Key Players:
Golcar’s main goal scorer this season has been George Doyle, who has scored 16 goals in 19 games in all competitions.

The team also looks set to be quite different to the team that previously played against Thackley earlier this season, with Ash Flynn returning having left Wakefield AFC.

Alongside this, Ollie Russon has also made his return since his loan spell at Hallam FC came to an end.

Previous Meeting:
The previous meeting between Golcar and Thackley came in September 2025 in a game that saw a goalless draw.

The Dennyboys defended well to seal a much deserved point despite some at times relentless Golcar pressure.
