Overview:
Thackley are on their travels for the final time this season as they face Beverley Town in a massive NCEL Premier Division fixture.

With last week’s 7-0 loss to Handsworth very much fresh in the team’s mind, they will be out to make things right and pick up an all important result.

The stats may very much be on their side, thanks to some good results away at the top teams, but they know they will need to be at their very best to get a result against a top Beverley team.

The Opposition:
Currently sitting third in the league, Beverley Town have enjoyed another excellent campaign following their promotion to the division in 2024.

The ‘Beavers’ had managed to keep up some consistent pressure on Liversedge until recently, with the team now looking to consolidate their play off ambitions.

Since their previous meeting with Jamie Price’s team in November, Beverley have gone on to pick up some good results, with them continuing their good form at the time with a 2-0 win against Bottesford Town in their next game.

Other results include their 5-0 win against Campion AFC, a 5-1 triumph against Albion Sports, their dominant 6-1 win against Wombwell Town and an impressive 3-1 victory against a resurgent Frickley Athletic.

Key Players:
It is not surprising that Beverley’s goalscoring exploits have meant a number of their players are in double digits for the campaign.

Leading the charts is McCauley Snelgrove on 21 goals in the league.

Meanwhile, Luka Suluburic and Matthew Plumber have 10 and 14 to their names respectively.

Previous Meeting:
The previous meeting between Thackley and Beverley came at the Meridian Stadium at Dennyfield, with a good number of over 200 supporters witnessing a 1-0 win for Beverley.

A second half goal from Suluburic confirmed the win, this being despite an overall positive performance from the Dennyboys.

Ground Description and Directions:
Beverley’s Norwood Park is a ground very much still in development following their quick rise in the pyramid, but this hasn’t stopped a number of positive developments.

There are a number of covered areas with both standing and seating, whilst there is also plenty of open standing.

The ground also has a clubhouse serving all the regular beverages and other options.

From M62 follow signs to Beverley (Suggest J38 at North Cave). Follow Signs to Beverley through Walkington. Turn left at traffic lights. Follow signs for Racecourse. Straight on at traffic lights (with Rose and Crown pub on left). Take Second Exit at Roundabout (Manor Road). Turn Left onto Norwood (A1174). Turn Left onto Recreation Lane signposted (Opposite Bike Shop).
