The opening stages were evenly matched, but Thackley quickly took control of the game and began to dominate possession.
Their breakthrough came courtesy of a thunderbolt strike from Auker, who set the tone with a superb finish. Confidence grew, and it wasn’t long before Thackley doubled their lead. Excellent work down the flank by E. Senior created chaos in the Farsley defence, and the ball eventually fell to Auker, who calmly slotted home her second of the afternoon.
The second half mirrored the first, with Thackley continuing to assert themselves. Goalkeeper Morris was called into action a couple of times and produced solid saves to help secure a well-deserved clean sheet. At the other end, Auker completed her hat-trick with another composed finish, putting the result beyond doubt.
There was still time for one final flourish: a clever assist from Akhtar slipped Blythe through on goal, and she made no mistake, tapping in to round off a convincing team performance.
A strong showing all round — clinical attacking, disciplined defending, and a deserved spot in the next round at home against Bradford City.
